These sweet pooches have interesting ways to show their appreciation to those that give them a second chance, just like this one.

A 4-year-old dog named Regan suddenly found herself homeless after her owner passed away in 2018, the canine ended up in the shelter looking for a new forever home.

The pooch met Kim Mozena Rezac, who quickly fell for the dog, after winning the trust of Reagan she knew she could offer her a home.

“You could tell she was scared and afraid. I would go in and give her treats and sit with her and talk,” Kim told Today. “Our shelter is wonderful, and our volunteers do such a great job with the animals. But I hated for her to be there if she could be curled up on a couch at my house.”

So the kind woman took the dog as a foster pet, there was a two-and-a-half hour drive from the shelter to her house, and then rode in the passenger seat.

Then something beautiful happened, Reagan held Kim’s hand with her furry paw.

“She wanted to hold my hand the whole way. If I took it away she would paw at it,” Kim said. “She just wanted to be touching.”

It was such an emotional moment, one that shows the great impact in adopting and fostering a shelter canine.

The dog knew she was saved and trusted Kim.

“She was so nervous and scared in the shelter but as soon as she jumped into my car she seemed so grateful.”

Kim didn’t keep Regan as her pet but as her foster mom, she helped her find her “forever home.”

Because of the sweet viral video of their drive, Reagan found her forever home soon a couple welcomed her into their life.

We hope this video will encourage people to adopt pets and give them forever homes, they truly deserve it.
