Lonely dog waits in shelter for over 7 years, begs someone to give her a second chance

There are a lot of pets staying at the shelter who wait for someone to take them home and give them the love and need they crave so much, sometimes some pets have to wait way longer for that to happen.

It’s heartbreaking but a lot of animals have to wait years in order to find their forever homes… making them wonder if they will ever get out of their shelters.

No matter how old one pooch gets or how long they have been staying at the shelter every one of them deserves a second chance and a happy ending.

One shelter is trying to find a forever home for one of the oldest dogs staying there, they are using a heartbreaking photo that tells the story.

The pooch is named Ginger and is a Labrador retriever mix located in Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach, Missouri.

She is an amazing dog that loves to play but no one has given her a home yet.

She has been staying at Dogwood Animal Shelter for almost eight years now, watching other dogs while they get adopted.

But the shelter hopes someone will take a chance on the dog once they see how much she has been waiting for a forever home.

A photo that went viral shows sweet Ginger staying sad on her kennel with a sign outside telling her story:

“Hi! I’m Ginger! I’ve been waiting here 7 years, 9 months, 2 weeks and 2 days.”

“I’m a good girl! I promise! I just need a 2nd chance.”

This is such a sweet and sad photo but for sure got the attention of people getting more than 14.000 shares in only one day.
